U Centru za mlade Dubrovnik, 9. svibnja organiziran je Info dan „EU Next Generation i Zeleni plan“ u sklopu aktivnosti projekta EUROPE DIRECT Dubrovačko-neretvanske županije, a povodom proslave Dana Europe. Predstavnici centra EUROPE DIRECT DNŽ iz udruge ESN Dubrovnik, događaj su organizirali u obliku dana otvorenih vrata, a koji je bio namijenjen za širu javnost, lokalne klubove i organizacije civilnog društva.
Program događaja obilovao je zanimljivim predavanjima, prezentacijama i interaktivnim aktivnostima, a teme su se usredotočile na održivost, volontiranje, obrazovanje i prilike za mlade u Dubrovniku.
Događaj je započeo s panelom „Budućnost to smo mi“, u kojem je sudjelovao Maritimo Recycling. Naime, Maritimo Recycling se bavi prikupljanjem plastike iz mora te je određenim procesima priprema za ponovnu oporabu odnosno, izrađuje nove proizvode te na taj način promovira cirkularnu ekonomiju, održivost i zelene prakse. Na ovaj način sudionici događaja mogli su se kroz primjer dobre prakse informirati o EU zelenom planu te načinu na koji se sami mogu priključiti. Potom su članovi ESN-a Dubrovnik iznijeli svoja iskustva o volontiranju i potaknuli sudionike na priključivanje u rad udruga pod nazivom “Izgradnja vještina kroz volontiranje”.
Ari Tornberg zatim je predstavio „Raisio Regional Education and Training Consortium“ (RASEKO), multidisciplinarnog pružatelja strukovnog obrazovanja i osposobljavanja sa sjedištem u Finskoj koji kroz Erasmus+ program pruža mogućnost stručne prakse za svoje i za gostujuće studente.
Na samom kraju predstavljen je Info portal “KANOĆO”, središnji info centar za mlade, koji će u bliskoj budućnosti informirati mlade, a i širu javnost o mogućnostima i prilikama koje se nude u Dubrovniku, odnosno one koje im omogućuje EU.
Održani događaj bio je izvrsna prilika za upoznavanje lokalnih organizacija civilnog društva, stjecanje novih znanja i vještina te povezivanje s drugim mladima u Dubrovniku. Također, poslužio je u svrhu informiranja o EU Next Generation planu oporavka čije su se teme provlačile tijekom cijelog događanja, osobito segmenti „Zelena Europa“ i „Jaka Europa“.
