Activ8 & Particip8 – Public forum Dubrovnik

The public forum aimed to achieve several objectives. The first objective was to gain a deeper understanding of the met and
unmet needs of the target group. During the forum, participants were encouraged to share their experiences, challenges,
and ideas regarding the services and resources that are available to them. This information was collected through various
interactive activities, such as group discussions and brainstorming sessions. The second objective was to empower a
bottom-up approach, which involved giving the target group a voice in the decision-making process. This was achieved by
creating a safe and inclusive space where participants could freely express their opinions and perspectives. The third
objective was to collect youth feedback in their own words and voices, which allowed the target group to share their unique
perspectives and experiences. This feedback was collected through survey, and will be used to inform decision-making
processes, schools, youth workers and NGOs. The forum have been successful in creating an opportunity for youth
participants to engage in meaningful discussions about important topics related to voting, e-democracy, media
consumption, understanding institutions, and political participation. It is encouraging to see that a significant percentage
of participants are interested in voting and are actively seeking information through various channels. However, the results
also highlight areas forimprovement, such as the need forincreased awareness and understanding of political institutions
and the importance of civic engagement. Overall, the forum and survey provide valuable insights into the attitudes and
behaviors of young people regarding politics and democracy. Overall, the public forum was successful in achieving its
objectives, and the information gathered was used to improve services and resources for the target group.
